Susan brings 30 + years of experience in healthcare working as an Occupational Therapist in hospitals, nursing homes, and in-home care.As an OT, Susan has helped many seniors and their families with the decision-making process of transitioning to a new living situation. Susan’s focus is to keep seniors active, engaged socially, and feeling safe in their living environment.
Susan is fortunate to have several family members who are 90+. She has been involved in helping them choose independent and assisted living facilities and adult family homes and watched them thrive and live their final days in their homes.
Background
As an Occupational Therapist, Susan helped people with Parkinson’s, MS, strokes, and other diagnoses live independently with their everyday activities. She takes great care in listening to her client’s needs and helping them problem-solve to find the best place to live that will meet their needs for the long run. In 2021, Susan became a PAC Certified Independent Consultant through Positive Approach to Care.
Interests
Being outdoors, gardening, biking, traveling, and photography.
Causes
Food and housing are basic needs Susan considers essential for a person to thrive. She supports the meeting of these needs through local community organizations such as Hopelink and NW Family Life.
